Jenifer is an experienced chartered public relations practitioner and management consultant spanning government, NHS and charity sectors. She has held Director level posts in NHS Lothian, Student Loans Company and Ambitious About Autism where she successfully led significant change management/business transformation projects.
In 2014 Jenifer was appointed as Head of Strategic Communications, No.10/Cabinet Office to provide strategic communications advice in the run up to the Scottish Independence Referendum. Jenifer set up her own management consultancy providing board level advice and interim director level support in 2015.
Jenifer has won a number of awards for her PR campaigns and crisis communications work and was awarded Communicators in Business UK award for Outstanding Contribution to the Communications Industry in 2012.
Prior to her career in PR and Communications, Jenifer was head of NHS Policy at the NHS Management Executive in Scotland and continues to take a keen interest in NHS policy and implementation across the UK.
Some 25 years’ experience at director level in public relations also includes more than 20 years volunteering for the professional body, CIPR, where Jenifer has held roles at national and board level as well as providing mentoring and support to CIPR members. Jenifer is a Fellow of the CIPR, member of the CIPR UK Council and was a Trustee of Iprovision, the CIPR Benevolent Fund from 2019 – 2022.
As a non-executive director Jenifer helps organisations focus on strategy, governance and structure and how to work with stakeholders.
