Colin’s Willow Structure

I am a keen gardener and I regularly participate in garden activities with my allocated worker to ensure the outdoor space of the accommodation is attractive and a place I can relax in. I discussed that it would be good to utilise the big space that was available, we did some research and contacted Volunteer Midlothian who discussed all the activities and workshops that they could provide.

It was agreed that we would construct a willow dome, somewhere we could go and sit and be protected from the elements and something that would be low maintenance.

When it was finished it looked good and in the spring time this will blossom and look great, we hope to build on this success and find organisations who will be able to donate us spare wood that will enable us to make a bench that will be placed under the dome that will allow us to have a seating area.
