We offer a range of support across Edinburgh and the Lothians working in partnership to build trust to support mental health and wellbeing. Promoting engagement in identifying personal outcomes and developing skills where identified to support recovery, living well and living life.
This is an adult service; the remit of the Service is 18 to 65-year-olds.
This is dependent on the needs of the individual and can vary from 1 hour per week to 24/7 support.
We support people who have been referred to us through Social Work or the Mental Health Team within the NHS. We also support individuals who have come to us directly seeking self-directed support.
Our Support Stories
My name is Kathleen, I am 63 years old and live with my husband, Harry. We have been married for 30 years. We have a wonderful marriage, and we understand what it is like to have schizophrenia.
I like working with children and I would like to find a job to do this. I wanted to gain some experience and managed to get a work placement set up at a local primary school
Our Staff Stories
When I was younger, I was interested in a career in law because I was passionate about our justice system and had a keen interest to learn more.
As a support worker at the Horizons service, I feel honoured to be in a position where I can help young people gain positive opportunities.
