Jackie’s Journey
My name is Jackie Mitchell, and I am a support worker in the Midlothian Service for learning disabilities. I have worked here for just over 4 years.

My time with MTAP
When I applied for the role at withYOU, I had no prior social care experience. Never did I think I would progress from the role of Caretaker to Senior Support Worker.

Jennifer’s Journey
My name is Jennifer and I joined with YOU in December 2021. I have recently transferred from the West Lothian Mental Health Service to Horizons.

The Sound of Silence
When I decided to start my adventure as a support worker, I was in a transition period of my life, and didn't know what I was looking for. I have always been inclined to help others even when I had tons of things to do, and with life being so frenetic it's not always possible to have the energy to translate this attitude into practical acts.

Kimberley’s Story
My name is Kimberley and I have worked at with YOU since March 2016.

Sharon’s Story
Working with people is something that I have always enjoyed and have worked across different services in my 15 years in social care.

Joe’s Story
My name is Joe Glen and I started with Horizons in the middle of June. My background is in economic regeneration in Glasgow, which I embarked upon after graduating from Strathclyde University Business School.

Ray’s Story
Many years ago, I came to work in the care industry through a number of personal experiences. I looked after my grandmother at a young age, as she suffered through cancer and, although difficult, took to caring naturally.

Francis’s Story
MY SAD ATTEMPT AT THE JAMES BOND LOOK! Hi there everyone, I'm Francis Behen, Service Manager at East Craigs and Cardross Learning Disabilities Services.

Kaleigh’s Story
When I was younger, I was interested in a career in law because I was passionate about our justice system and had a keen interest to learn more.
